Very expected game when 10th ranked Forssan Alku (1-7) was defeated at home by fifth ranked Aanekosken (4-4) 80-66 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Aanekosken. Forssan Alku managed to win fourth quarter 19-12. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Forssan Alku 49-31 including a 38-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of American power forward Chandra Harris (186-89, college: Georgia St.) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 26 points and 14 rebounds and the other American import center Kenya Robinson (182-70, college: New Orleans) who added 12 points and 21 rebounds during the contest. Center Juta Jahilo (186-84) responded with 14 points and 8 rebounds and American guard Dequesha McClanahan (173-91, college: Winthrop) scored 14 points and 5 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Aanekosken have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain fifth position with 4-4 record. Forssan Alku lost seventh consecutive game. Loser Forssan Alku stay at the bottom place with seven games lost. Aanekosken will meet at home TuRi (#9) in the next round. Forssan Alku will play against Tapiolan Honka and hope to win that game.
