Regular Season Round 6: Malbas - Trelleborg 92-74

No shocking result in a game in Malmo where third ranked Malbas (5-1) won against 6th ranked Trelleborg (3-3) 92-74 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Malbas. Trelleborg was better in fourth quarter 30-26. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 25-of-33 free shots (75.8 percent) during the game. Trelleborg was plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. Forward Fredrik Larsson (200-93) had a double-double by scoring 20 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the charge for the winners and guard Stefan Nguyen (190-92) chipped in 19 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. Four Malbas players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was naturalized Bosnian forward Srdjan Vukovic (197-86) with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 12 rebounds and Kosovan power forward Hekuran Pireva (-86) scored 9 points and 13 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Malbas have a solid four-game winning streak. They keep a position of South leader, which they share with Huddinge. Loser Trelleborg keeps the sixth place with three games lost. Malbas will face Talje Knights (#7) at home in the next round where they are favorite. Trelleborg will play against Sanda Basket and hope to win that game.
