Regular Season Round 3: Denso Iris - Chanson V-M 58-55

Important game to mention about took place in Kariya. Denso Iris (3-0) saved a 3-point victory at home edging Chanson V-M (1-2) 58-55 on Sunday evening. Host team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. The hosts were tied after three quarters but managed to speed up in last quarter eventually winning the game. Strangely Chanson V-M outrebounded Denso Iris 36-23 including 26 on the defensive glass. It was a great evening for the former international power forward Maki Takada (183-89) who led her team to a victory scoring 17 points and 7 rebounds. The former international forward Yuri Ushida (181-89) helped adding 6 points and 8 rebounds. The best for the losing side was the former international swingman Saori Fujiyoshi (178-87) with 10 points and 8 rebounds and center Sugiyama Miyuki (196-94) scored 10 points and 5 rebounds. Denso Iris will play against Aishin Wings (#6) in Anjo in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Chanson V-M will play at home against Toyota B SR to get more than just one victory in their record.
