Regular Season Round 12: Takamatsu FA - Yokohama BC 88-72

Rather expected game when 9th ranked Yokohama BC (3-9) lost on the road to sixth ranked Takamatsu FA (5-7) 88-72 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Takamatsu FA. Yokohama BC was better in third quarter 24-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Takamatsu FA dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Yokohama BC's 38. It was a good game for American swingman Justin Watts (196-90, college: N.Carolina) who led his team to a victory with 15 points and 5 assists. The other American import swingman Dexter Lyons (198-81, college: Cent.Florida, agency: I.D.S. Law) contributed with 13 points and 7 assists for the winners. Four Takamatsu FA players scored in double figures. British power forward Dzaflo Larkai (203-81, college: Bellarmine) replied with 20 points and 7 rebounds and American guard Warren Niles (196-89, college: ORU, agency: KMG Sports Management) added 23 points in the effort for Yokohama BC. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Takamatsu FA maintains sixth position with 5-7 record, which they share with Oita H.Devils. Yokohama BC lost seventh consecutive game. They dropped to the eighth place with nine games lost. Takamatsu FA will face Shinshu BW (#7) in Nagano in the next round. Yokohama BC will play at home against Fukuoka Rizing and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
