Regular Season Round 5: Njardvik - Keflavik 74-86

Date: November 10, 2014
Quite upsetting was Njardvik's home defeat in a game versus Keflavik 86-74. Keflavik dominated on the defensive end, holding Njardvik to just 6 points in second quarter. They also forced 23 Njardvik turnovers. The best player for the winners was naturalized American forward Damon Johnson (196-74, college: Tennessee) who had a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 rebounds. American swingman William Graves (198-88, college: N.Carolina) chipped in 20 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. American guard Dustin Salisbery (196-84, college: Temple) produced 22 points and 7 rebounds and swingman Agust Orrason (191-93) added 18 points respectively for the hosts. Five Keflavik and four Njardvik players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Keflavik (3-2) moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Snaefell and Stjarnan. Loser Njardvik keeps the seventh position with three games lost. They share it with Grindavik and Thor Thorl. Keflavik will meet at home IR (#10) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Njardvik will play against Grindavik and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
