The game had a very big importance for second-ranked PGE Turow as it allowed them to take a leadership position. PGE Turow smashed 10th ranked Polpharma in Zgorzelec 88-67. The game was mostly controlled by PGE Turow. Polpharma managed to win third quarter 26-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. PGE Turow looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was the former international power forward Damian Kulig (205-87) who had a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds. Romanian power forward Vlad-Sorin Moldoveanu (206-88, college: American, agency: Beo Basket) chipped in 15 points and 5 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was American power forward Evan Ravenel (203-89, college: Ohio St.) who recorded 18 points and 8 rebounds and his fellow American import point guard Jessie Sapp (188-86, college: Georgetown) added 10 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. PGE Turow (6-0) have an impressive six-game winning streak. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with Slask Wroclaw. Polpharma lost third consecutive game. They keep the tenth place with four games lost. They share the position with 3 other teams. Polpharma will play next round against Wikana Start trying to get back on the winning streak. PGE Turow will try to continue on its current victory against fourteenth ranked Anwil in Wloclawek.
