An interesting game took place in Logrono where higher ranked Melilla Baloncesto (4-3) was upset on the court of fourteenth ranked Cocinas.com (2-5) 72-65 on Tuesday. The hosts trailed by 1 point at the halftime before their 38-30 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Cocinas.com had a 18-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a great evening for Australian forward Mike Carlson (206-91, college: Truman St.) who led his team to a victory scoring 17 points and 8 rebounds. American-French guard Alfredo Ott (193-83, college: Dillard) helped adding 15 points. Four Cocinas.com players scored in double figures. At the losing side power forward Devin Wright (203-86) responded with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 11 rebounds and swingman Carles Bravo (193-79) scored 15 points and 4 assists. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Cocinas.com moved-up to thirteenth place, which they share with Prat. Loser Melilla Baloncesto keeps the fifth position with three games lost. Cocinas.com will face higher ranked Oviedo CB (#8) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Melilla Baloncesto will play against Leche Rio Breogan having rather not much hope for a victory.
