Regular Season Round 7: Visby - Solna Vikings 77-60

Bottom-ranked Solna Vikings is still unable to win any game. This time they lost on the road their seventh consecutive match to eighth ranked Visby Ladies (2-5) 77-60 on Wednesday evening. The game was mostly controlled by Visby Ladies. Solna Vikings managed to win third quarter 17-11. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Solna Vikings 41-29 including a 33-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was an exceptional evening for Oaks Patricia who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 13 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field). American power forward Stephanie Rogers (190-89, college: Lake Erie) accounted for 19 points and 11 rebounds for the winning side. Forward Line Goransson (182-95) came up with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 rebounds and swingman Lydia Karlefors (178-86) added 6 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Solna Vikings in the defeat. Solna Vikings' coach Manuel Rodriguez rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win. Despite that victory Visby Ladies went down to ninth position due to points difference. Solna Vikings lost their seventh game in a row. They still close the standings with seven games lost. Visby Ladies will meet at home higher ranked Norrkoping Dolphins (#6) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Solna Vikings will play against Telge (#7) and look forward to get finally their first victory.
