Regular Season Round 2: Samen - Petrochimi 65-95

The game in supposed to be also quite interesting. Petrochimi (1-0) played at the court of Samen (0-2). Petrochimi smashed Samen 95-65 on Thursday. The game without a history. Petrochimi led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Petrochimi forced 19 Samen turnovers and outrebounded them 38-27 including a 30-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists comparing to just 6 passes made by Samen's players. The best player for the winners was international forward Mohammad Samad Nikkhah Bahrami (199-83) who scored 27 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). International Behnam Yakhchali (197-95) chipped in 18 points and 6 rebounds. Four Petrochimi players scored in double figures. International power forward Saleh Foroutannik (207-94) produced 16 points and the former international forward Amir Hossein Tatari (201-88) added 8 points and 8 rebounds respectively for the hosts. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Petrochimi will meet at home Sanaye in the next round where they are favorite. Samen will have a break next round.
