Regular Season Round 8: Casalpusterlengo - C.de Latte BRE 69-76

There was no surprise when 9th ranked Casalpusterlengo (3-5) lost at home to second ranked C.de Latte BRE (6-2) 76-69. It looked good early as Casalpusterlengo took an 5-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then C.de Latte BRE had a 23-17 second period charge getting the lead and Casalpusterlengo was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 69-76. C.de Latte BRE made 17-of-21 charity shots (81.0 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was the former international center Alessandro Cittadini (207-79) who had a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds. Naturalized American guard Mirza Alibegovic (197-92) chipped in 16 points. Four C.de Latte BRE players scored in double figures. Power forward Mitchell Poletti (205-88) produced a double-double by scoring 12 points and 12 rebounds and forward Giampaolo Ricci (200-91) added 16 points and 8 rebounds respectively for the hosts. C.de Latte BRE maintains second position with 6-2 record having just two points less than leader Tezenis VE. Newly promoted Casalpusterlengo dropped to the eleventh place with five games lost. C.de Latte BRE's next round opponent will be FCM Ferentino (#10) on the road and are hoping to win another game. Casalpusterlengo will play against Forli and hope to win that game.
