The game in Isafjordur was also quite interesting. Fifth ranked Breidablik (3-2) played at the court of 7th ranked KFI (1-5). Breidablik managed to secure a 7-point victory 92-85 on Friday. KFI trailed by 14 points after 3 quarters before a 26-19 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 85-92 at the end of the game. Breidablik looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. American point guard Nate Garth (188-89, college: UCSB) nailed a triple-double by scoring 21 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists for the winning side and forward Egill Vignisson (198-91) accounted for 27 points and 11 rebounds. Four Breidablik players scored in double figures. Serbian swingman Nebojsa Knezevic (196-87) came up with 29 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals and center Birgir Petursson (205-86) added 18 points and 10 rebounds respectively for KFI in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Breidablik moved-up to fourth place, which they share with IA. Loser KFI keeps the seventh position with five games lost. Breidablik will meet at home league's second-placed Hottur in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. KFI will play against Valur (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
