Undefeated leader Treviso Basket delivered the eighth consecutive victory. This time they beat 15th ranked Piacentina (1-7) 83-74. The hosts were already 14 points ahead at halftime and as many as 20 after three quarters before a 27-16 last quarter charge of Piacentina cut the lead to 83-74 at the end of the game. They outrebounded Piacentina 43-28 including a 29-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. American forward Marshawn Powell (201-90, college: Arkansas) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 17 rebounds. The other American import point guard Coron Williams (185-89, college: Wake Forest) contributed with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Five Treviso Basket players scored in double figures. Lithuanian swingman Paulius Sorokas (200-92) replied with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds and Greek-Canadian guard Alex Hill (196-90, college: Cornell) added 19 points in the effort for Piacentina. Treviso Basket (8-0) have an impressive eight-game winning streak. Newly promoted Treviso Basket maintains first position with a perfect record of 8 victories in a row. Piacentina lost third consecutive game. Piacentina at the other side, also newcomer in the league, dropped to the bottom place with seven games lost.
