Regular Season Round 6: Jilin NE T. - Beijing Ducks 92-111
Date: November 14, 2014
No shocking result in a game in Changchun where second ranked Beijing Ducks (5-1) outleveled 9th ranked Jilin Tigers (3-3) 111-92. It looked good early as Jilin Tigers took an 3-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Beijing Ducks had a 33-24 second period charge getting the lead and Jilin Tigers were not able to take back game control losing it eventually 92-111. Beijing Ducks players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists. It was a good game for American power forward Randolph Morris (211-86, college: Kentucky) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 30 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists. Forward Gen Li (196-88) contributed with 22 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Four Beijing Ducks players scored in double figures. American guard Dominique Jones (193-88, college: S.Florida) replied with 24 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists and his fellow American import power forward Denzel Bowles (208-89, college: JMU) added 26 points and 6 rebounds (on 13-of-17 shooting from the field) in the effort for Jilin Tigers. Both coaches tested many bench players saving starting five for next games. Defending champion maintains second position with 5-1 record having just three points less than leader Liaoning H., which they share with Guangdong ST and Xinjiang FT. Jilin Tigers at the other side dropped to the tenth place with three games lost. Beijing Ducks' next round opponent will be Shandong Bulls (#6) in Jinan. Jilin Tigers will play on the road against Shanghai Sharks (#20) and hope to win that game.
