Regular Season Round 6: Hyeres-Toulon - Nantes 75-62
Date: November 14, 2014
No shocking result in a game when fifth ranked Hyeres-Toulon (5-1) beat at home 13th ranked Nantes (2-4) 75-62 on Friday. The game was mostly controlled by Hyeres-Toulon. Nantes was better in third quarter 25-10. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Hyeres-Toulon won last quarter 20-9. American players dominated the game. It was a good game for Kyle Spain (196-87, college: San Diego St.) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 12 rebounds. Forward Davante Gardner (203-91, college: Marquette) contributed with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. Forward Storm Warren (201-88, college: LSU, agency: I.D.S. Law) replied with 18 points and 7 rebounds and Allen Durham (198-88, college: Grace Bible) added 2 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists in the effort for Nantes. Nantes' coach Franck Collineau rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Hyeres-Toulon keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Roanne and Orchy. Nantes lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the twelfth place with four games lost. Hyeres-Toulon will face Lille Metropole (#12) at home in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Nantes will play against Aix-Maurienne and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
