Regular Season Round 8: TTU - Valga Kalev 91-89

The most exciting game of round 8 in the Alexela KML took place in Tallinn. This derby game ended with only two-point defeat on the road of 8th ranked Valga Kalev (1-5) to sixth ranked TTU (3-4) 91-89 on Friday evening. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Valga Kalev won fourth quarter 22-18. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. TTU looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. International forward Toomas Raadik (201-90, agency: Promotex) orchestrated the victory by scoring 23 points and 8 rebounds. Swingman Jaan Puidet (191-92) contributed with 15 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Latvian swingman Edgars Krumins (194-86) replied with 27 points and 6 rebounds and Latvian center Jurijs Aleksejevs (202-85) added 11 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Valga Kalev. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. TTU maintains sixth position with 3-4 record. Valga Kalev lost third consecutive game. They keep the eighth place with five games lost. TTU are looking forward to face higher ranked BC Rakvere (#3) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Valga Kalev will have a break next round.
