The most surprising game was the first loss of Aris (4-1) on the court of ninth ranked Koroivos on Saturday night. Visitors were defeated by Koroivos 73-69. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Aris. The hosts trailed by 11 points after first quarter, but they rallied back and won the game by 4 points. 30 personal fouls committed by Aris helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American point guard Robert Lowery (188-87, college: Dayton) scored 19 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Spanish center Guillem Rubio (202-82) chipped in 15 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. Koroivos (3-3) moved-up to sixth place, which they share with AGOR. Aris at the other side dropped to the fourth position with one game lost. Koroivos is looking forward to face bottom-ranked Panionios (#14) in Athens in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Aris will play at home against Kolossos (#10) and is hoping to win this game.
