Regular Season Round 7: Rybnik - MKK Siedlce 68-63

There was no surprise when 9th ranked MKK Siedlce (2-5) was defeated on the road by sixth ranked Rybnik (4-3) 68-63. The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 26-9. But MKK Siedlce won second period 23-16. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was an exceptional evening for American guard Leah Metcalf (170-83, college: N.Carolina) who led the winners and scored 20 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists. Ukrainian forward Kateryna Rymarenko (185-90) accounted for 20 points and 8 rebounds for the winning side. Ukrainian forward Ganna Zarytska (182-86) came up with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 16 rebounds and forward Magdalena Bibrzycka (183-88) added 14 points respectively for MKK Siedlce in the defeat. Rybnik moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Gorzow. MKK Siedlce lost their fifth game in a row. Newly promoted team keeps the ninth position with five games lost. Rybnik's next round opponent will be AZS UMCS (#8) in Lublin. MKK Siedlce will play at home against CCC Polkowice and hope to win that game.
