Regular Season Round 10: Tochigi Brex - Chiba Jets 89-76

No shocking result in a game when second ranked Tochigi Brex (10-2) won against at home 5th ranked Chiba Jets (6-6) 89-76 on Saturday. The game without a history. Tochigi Brex led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. American power forward Ryan Rossiter (204-89, college: Siena) had a double-double by scoring 26 points and 10 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the former international guard Hiroki Watanabe (180-88) chipped in 18 points and 4 assists during the contest. Tochigi Brex's coach Thomas Wisman used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side American forward Justin Burrell (207-88, college: St.John's) responded with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 19 rebounds and his fellow American import guard Paris Horne (191-87, college: St.John's) scored 23 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Tochigi Brex have an impressive eight-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 10-2 record having just -2 point less than leader Hitachi SR. Chiba Jets at the other side keep the fifth place with six games lost. Tochigi Brex will face league's leader Aishin Sea Horses in Kariya in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Chiba Jets will play at home against Toshiba Thunders (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
