Le Havre can celebrate finally their first win this season after five consecutive loses. They used home court advantage to defeat SIG (2-4) 59-56. SIG was ahead by 4 points at the halftime before a 29-22 second half run of Le Havre. They dominated on the defensive end, holding SIG to just 5 points in third quarter. They outrebounded SIG 42-31 including 34 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of Senegalese center Aida Fall (192-86) who helped to win the game recording 6 points and 20 rebounds. point guard Melissa Micaletto (165-90) contributed with 16 points and 4 assists for the winners. Center Celine Schmitt-Sender (185-80) answered with 14 points and 6 rebounds and point guard Kathleen Bourdin (162-87) added 11 points in the effort for SIG. Le Havre (1-5) left bottom position moving up to eleventh place. It was SIG's third loss in a row. They dropped to the ninth position with four games lost. They share it with Aulnoye. Le Havre will play against higher ranked LTB 29 (#7) in Pleyber-Christ in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. SIG will play at home against the league's leader Roche having rather not much hope for a victory.
