Round 8 in 2Liga means a new league leader. The biggest surprise took place in Inowroclaw where host Notec (6-1) beat league's leader AZS UMK Torun (5-2) 76-63 on Saturday evening. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of AZS UMK Torun. It was a key game for the top position in Group A. The hosts trailed by 4 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 5-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 76-63. Notec forced 19 AZS UMK Torun turnovers. 26 personal fouls committed by AZS UMK Torun helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was forward Aleksander Filipiak (185-90) who had a double-double by scoring 19 points, 10 rebounds, 6 assists and 6 steals. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
