Regular Season Round 8: MKS DG 2 - MCKiS Jaworz. 67-81

Very expected game in Dabrowa Gornicza where 9th ranked MKS DG 2 (2-6) was defeated by third ranked MCKiS Jaworz. (5-2) 81-67 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by MCKiS Jaworz.. MKS DG 2 was better in third quarter 20-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. MCKiS Jaworz. dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to MKS DG 2's 26 and made 17-of-19 free shots (89.5 percent) during the game. They outrebounded MKS DG 2 50-24 including a 20-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was center Lukasz Bak (210-81, agency: Promotex) who had a double-double by scoring 24 points and 20 rebounds. Guard Radoslaw Lemanski (180-89) chipped in 26 points (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line). Swingman Jakub Zalucki (194-89) produced 26 points and 4 steals and point guard Patryk Wieczorek (187-96) added 8 points and 10 assists respectively for the hosts. MKS DG 2's coach Rafal Knap let to play twelve players saving starting five for next games. MCKiS Jaworz. moved-up to second place in Group C, which they share with Alba Chorzow and WKK Wroclaw. Newly promoted MKS DG 2 keeps the ninth position with six games lost. MCKiS Jaworz. will face Polonia Bytom (#7) at home in the next round where they are favorite. MKS DG 2 will play against AZS PCz in Czestochowa and hope to win that game.
