Regular Season Round 8: KUKS Koszalin - Asseco II 55-93

Date: November 15, 2014
Rather predictable result when seventh ranked Asseco II (3-3) outscored on the road bottom-ranked KUKS Koszalin (0-7) 93-55 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Asseco II. KUKS Koszalin was better in third quarter 22-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Asseco II dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to KUKS Koszalin's 18. Asseco II forced 25 KUKS Koszalin turnovers and outrebounded them 48-26 including a 35-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was center Jakub Parzenski (212-91) who scored 20 points and 9 rebounds. Swingman Przemyslaw Zolnierewicz (196-95) chipped in 18 points and 5 rebounds. Four Asseco II players scored in double figures. Pawel Czubak (186-93) produced 14 points and Adam Kadej (201-96) added 10 points and 5 rebounds respectively for the hosts. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Asseco II moved-up to fifth place in Group A, which they share with SMS PZKosz. KUKS Koszalin at the other side, also newcomer in the league, still closes the standings with seven games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
