Regular Season Round 16: Jefes - Titanicos 111-100

Very expected game when 12th ranked Titanicos (4-11) were defeated on the road by eighth ranked Jefes (8-8) 111-100 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Jefes. Titanicos managed to win third quarter 30-22. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Jefes well out of reach of Titanicos shooting 70.3 percent from the field. They also forced 19 Titanicos turnovers and had a 26-15 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for Jefes especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 61.1 percentage. Americans were the main players on the court. Forward Dan Jennings (206-90, college: Long Beach St.) fired a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners. Forward Jordan Glynn (200-89, college: SF Austin) chipped in 17 points and 6 rebounds. Guard Isaiah Wilkerson (190-90, college: NJIT) produced 25 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists and forward Brian Addison (205-87, college: Buffalo) added 16 points and 6 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Jefes moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Correcaminos. Titanicos at the other side, also newcomer in the league, dropped to the thirteenth position with 11 games lost. Jefes will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Titanicos will play against Huracanes (#3) and hope to secure a win.
