Not a big story in a game in Kariya where 5th ranked Wakayama T. (3-9) was rolled over by top-ranked Aishin Sea Horses (10-0) 106-77 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 6 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 4-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 106-77. Aishin Sea Horses forced 19 Wakayama T. turnovers and outrebounded them 37-23 including 24 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. International swingman Kosuke Kanamaru (193-89) scored 30 points and 5 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the former international guard Makoto Hiejima (190-90) chipped in 17 points and 7 assists during the contest. Aishin Sea Horses' coach felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side American power forward Paul Butorac (208-83, college: E.Washington) responded with 16 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists and guard Yuu Abe (180-84) scored 19 points and 4 assists (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). Four Aishin Sea Horses and five Wakayama T. players scored in double figures. Aishin Sea Horses have an impressive ten-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 10-0 record. Wakayama T. lost ninth consecutive game. They keep the fifth place with nine games lost. Aishin Sea Horses will face league's second-placed Tochigi Brex at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week.
