Seventh ranked Correcaminos (8-8) crushed at home 14th ranked Gansos (3-13) by 21 points 94-73, which is the biggest margin this round on Saturday night. The game was mostly controlled by Correcaminos. Gansos managed to win fourth quarter 22-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Gansos 36-18 including a 27-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. American forward Kenny Kornowski (205-91, college: Walsh) fired 18 points and 9 rebounds (perfect from the field making all nine shots !!!) for the winners. Puerto Rican forward Joel Gierbolini (203-89, college: USC Aiken) chipped in a double-double by scoring 11 points and 12 rebounds. Four Correcaminos players scored in double figures. American guard Harrison Smith (190-87, college: Texas Southern) produced 21 points and Garduno Abraham added 14 points respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Correcaminos maintains seventh position with 8-8 record, which they share with Jefes. Gansos lost twelfth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom place with 13 games lost. Correcaminos will meet league's leader Soles in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Gansos will play against the league's second-placed Halcones Rojos (#2) having rather not much hope for a victory.
