WNBL top team - Sydney Uni Flames (5-1) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed sixth ranked Adelaide Lightning (2-4) 78-59. The game was mostly controlled by Sydney Uni Flames. Adelaide Lightning was better in second period 28-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Sydney Uni Flames dominated on the defensive end, holding Adelaide Lightning to just 7 points in first quarter. They brought some defensive toughness making 8 blocks.
