Very important is a road loss of third ranked JX-Eneos S. (2-2) against fourth ranked Fujitsu RW (3-1) on Saturday night. Visiting JX-Eneos S. was crushed by Fujitsu RW in Kawasaki 92-64. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of JX-Eneos S.. The game was mostly controlled by Fujitsu RW. JX-Eneos S. was better in fourth quarter 19-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding JX-Eneos S. to just 6 points in first quarter. Fujitsu RW players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by JX-Eneos S.'s players. The winners were led by point guard Mio Shinozaki (167-91) who scored that evening 31 points and 5 rebounds (on 13-of-15 shooting from the field) and international point guard Rui Machida (161-93) supported her with 8 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists. Even a double-double of 16 points and 12 rebounds by international forward Yuki Miyazawa (181-93, college: Queens, NY) did not help to save the game for JX-Eneos S.. The former international power forward Ramu Tokashiki (191-91) added 10 points and 8 rebounds for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Fujitsu RW moved-up to third place. Defending champion JX-Eneos S. dropped to the seventh position with two games lost. Fujitsu RW will play against Mitsubishi K. (#5) in Nagoya in the next round. JX-Eneos S. will have a break next round.
