Everything went according to plan in Yinzhou where fifth ranked Guangdong Dolphins (4-2) beat 7th ranked Bayi Kylin (2-4) 92-88 on Saturday. The guests started the game with a very strong first quarter 24-15. But Bayi Kylin won second period 24-22. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Guangdong Dolphins won last quarter 25-23. They made 19-of-22 free shots (86.4 percent) during the game. American center Aneika Henry (193-86, college: Florida) scored 31 points and 9 rebounds (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) to lead the charge for the winners and forward Lin Zhu (180-88) chipped in 20 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. Five Guangdong Dolphins players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was the former international forward Lu Wen (188-90) with a double-double by scoring 30 points and 11 rebounds and international center Mengran Sun (197-92) scored 21 points. Guangdong Dolphins have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain fifth position with 4-2 record. Bayi Kylin lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the eighth place with four games lost. Guangdong Dolphins will face Zhejiang Far East (#11) in Hangzhou in the next round where they are favorite. Bayi Kylin will play at home against Whale and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
