Rather expected game when 5th ranked Valencia Basket (4-3) was smashed on the road by second ranked Regal FC Barcelona (6-1) 76-57 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Regal FC Barcelona. Valencia Basket managed to win third quarter 15-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Regal FC Barcelona made 26-of-31 free shots (83.9 percent) during the game. It was an exceptional evening for Polish-Swedish power forward Maciej Lampe (211-85) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 11 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Naturalized American point guard Brad Oleson (191-83, college: Alaska-Fairb., agency: Duran International) accounted for 10 points for the winning side. point guard Pau Ribas (196-87) came up with 14 points and 5 assists and Belgian point guard Sam Van Rossom (188-86) added 10 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Valencia Basket in the defeat. Defending champion maintains second place with 6-1 record behind leader Real Madrid, which they share with Unicaja. Loser Valencia Basket keeps the fifth position with three games lost. They share it with 4 other teams. Regal FC Barcelona will meet Baloncesto Fuenlabrada (#16) in the next round which should be an easy win for them.
