Regular Season Round 14: Yokohama BC - Fukuoka Rizing 86-100

We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams when ninth ranked Fukuoka Rizing (3-11) beat on the road 8th ranked Yokohama BC (4-10) 100-86 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Fukuoka Rizing. Yokohama BC was better in second period 17-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Fukuoka Rizing looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists. The best player for the winners was American forward Josh Peppers (201-85, college: Cent.Florida, agency: Court Side) who scored 30 points. The other American import forward Greg Logins (203-88, college: Canisius) chipped in a double-double by scoring 19 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). Five Fukuoka Rizing players scored in double figures. American guard Warren Niles (196-89, college: ORU, agency: KMG Sports Management) produced a double-double by scoring 38 points (!!!) and 10 rebounds and British power forward Dzaflo Larkai (203-81, college: Bellarmine) added 22 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Fukuoka Rizing moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Tokyo Cinq R. Loser Yokohama BC keeps the eighth position with ten games lost. Fukuoka Rizing will face higher ranked Aomori Watts (#5) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game.
