Campus Promete has finally registered their first victory this season after seven consecutive loses. They used home court advantage to defeat Gran Canaria (2-6) 65-62 on Sunday. Gran Canaria was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. The best player for the winners was Cuban guard Licet Castillo (175-73) who scored 11 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. American center LaNedra Brown (188-81, college: Seton Hall) chipped in 10 points and 6 rebounds. Four Campus Promete players scored in double figures.
