Regular Season Round 4: C.Adelantados - Sant Adria 59-77

Not a big story in a game when bottom-ranked Ciudad Adelantados (0-4) was defeated at home by top-ranked Sant Adria (4-0) 77-59 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Sant Adria. Ciudad Adelantados was better in fourth quarter 17-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Worth to mention a great performance of center Olga Ruano (191-88, agency: Regeneracom Sports) who helped to win the game recording 13 points and 9 rebounds and Mariona Martin (169-96) who added 11 points and 6 assists during the contest. At the losing side American forward Chenise Miller (183-91, college: Florida Atlantic, agency: Gamble Sports Management) responded with 13 points and 5 rebounds and naturalized Paraguayan guard Claudia Aponte (173-91, agency: Josep and Nicolas) scored 12 points. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Sant Adria have a solid four-game winning streak. They keep a position of Group B leader, which they share with Alcobendas. Ciudad Adelantados at the other side, also newcomer in the league, still closes the standings with four games lost. Sant Adria will face IF Air Europa (#4) in S'Arenal in the next round. Ciudad Adelantados will play on the road against ASEFA Estudiantes (#10) in Madrid and hopes to get finally their first victory.
