Undefeated leader Liaoning Hunters delivered the eighth consecutive victory on Sunday night. This time they crushed 10th ranked TianJin Steel (3-4) 117-88 in Yingkou. The game without a history. Liaoning Hunters led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 16-of-21 free shots (76.2 percent) during the game. Liaoning Hunters outrebounded TianJin Steel 56-24 including a 21-2 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a great evening for American forward Deon Thompson (203-88, college: N.Carolina) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 16 rebounds. His fellow American import Lester Hudson (190-84, college: Tenn-Martin, agency: Priority Sports) helped adding 25 points and 5 assists. At the losing side American forward Shelden Williams (206-83, college: Duke) responded with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 13 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) and swingman Zhihan Zhang (198-91) scored 18 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Liaoning Hunters (8-0) have an impressive series of eight victories in a row. They maintain first place with a perfect record of 8 victories in a row. TianJin Steel lost third consecutive game. They keep the tenth position with four games lost. They share it with 4 other teams. Liaoning Hunters will meet at home Jiangsu TX (#19) in the next round which should be another easy win for them.
