Rather predictable result in Kariya where top-ranked Aishin Sea Horses (10-0) smashed 5th ranked Wakayama T. (3-9) 100-57 on Sunday. The game without a history. Aishin Sea Horses led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Wakayama T.'s 30. Aishin Sea Horses forced 20 Wakayama T. turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Wakayama T.'s players. The former international forward Michael Takahashi (198-74, college: CS Northridge) scored 20 points and 8 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Canadian center Scott Morrison (213-86, college: Portland St.) chipped in 21 points and 8 rebounds (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field) during the contest. Four Aishin Sea Horses players scored in double figures. Aishin Sea Horses' coach felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side American power forward Paul Butorac (208-83, college: E.Washington) responded with 17 points and 6 rebounds and guard Yuu Abe (180-84) scored 12 points. Aishin Sea Horses have an impressive ten-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 10-0 record. Wakayama T. lost ninth consecutive game. They keep the fifth place with nine games lost. Aishin Sea Horses will face league's second-placed Tochigi Brex at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week.
