Very expected game when 9th ranked Naturhouse Ferrara (4-4) was defeated on the road by second ranked Ravenna (6-2) 84-74 on Sunday. The hosts were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Ravenna made 17-of-18 free shots (94.4 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was American forward Michael Singletary (198-88, college: Texas Tech, agency: Three Eye Sports) who had a double-double by scoring 23 points and 11 rebounds (was perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line !!!). The former international center Francesco Foiera (207-75, agency: Interperformances) chipped in 12 points and 7 rebounds. Singletary is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. American guard Kenny Hasbrouck (191-86, college: Siena) produced 18 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and swingman Alessandro Amici (200-91) added 18 points respectively for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Ravenna maintains second position with 6-2 record having just two points less than leader Treviso Basket. Loser Naturhouse Ferrara dropped to the fifth place with four games lost. Ravenna will face Scafati (#14) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Naturhouse Ferrara will play against Recanati (#3) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
