Regular Season Round 8: Agrigento - Sigma BRC 79-73

Not a big story in a game when 13th ranked Sigma Barcellona (3-5) lost on the road to fourth ranked Agrigento (5-3) 79-73. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. It looked good early as Sigma Barcellona took an 4-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Agrigento had a 30-14 second period charge getting the lead and Sigma Barcellona was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 73-79. The best player for the winners was American power forward Dave Dudzinski (206-92, college: Holy Cross, agency: Pro Partner Sports Management) who scored 16 points and 9 rebounds. Guard Andrea Saccaggi (192-89) chipped in 18 points and 4 assists. The former international power forward Luca Garri (207-82) produced a double-double by scoring 16 points and 13 rebounds and forward Matteo Da Ros (204-89) added 11 points and 8 rebounds respectively for the guests. Five Agrigento and four Sigma Barcellona players scored in double figures. Agrigento moved-up to third place, which they share with Novipiu Casale and Manital Torino. Sigma Barcellona at the other side dropped to the eleventh position with five games lost. Agrigento's next round opponent will be Trieste (#6) on the road. Sigma Barcellona will play against Lighthouse TR (#8) and hope to win that game.
