Regular Season Round 7: 08 - Telge 42-66
Date: November 16, 2014
Rather predictable result when eighth ranked Telge (3-4) rolled over on the road 10th ranked 08 Stockholm (2-6) 66-42 on Sunday. The game without a history. Telge led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding 08 Stockholm to just 7 points in first quarter. They outrebounded 08 Stockholm 36-21 including a 28-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a very good performance for the former international power forward Jennifer Stjarnstrom (187-87, college: Drexel) who helped to win the game recording 6 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. International guard Stefanie Yderstrom (173-90, college: Miami, FL) contributed with 12 points for the winners. Forward Malin Torelm (180-89) answered with 10 points and 5 rebounds and point guard Luciana Jonson (167-91) added 6 points and 4 steals in the effort for 08 Stockholm. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Telge moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Norrkoping and Eos. 08 Stockholm lost their sixth game in a row. Newly promoted team keeps the tenth position with six games lost. Telge will face bottom-ranked Solna Vikings (#12) at home in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game.
