Date: November 16, 2014
Very significant was Ullern's (#1, 5-0) victory against 3rd ranked Gimle (3-3) 55-44. The guests were ahead by 4 points but lost the second period ending it with a 2-point deficit before their 17-4 run, which allowed them to win the game. Ullern dominated on the defensive end, holding Gimle to just 4 points in fourth quarter. They also forced 25 Gimle turnovers. The former international guard Tina Moen (180-86, college: IPFW) notched 23 points and 9 rebounds to lead the effort and the former international power forward Tori Halvorsen (183-88, college: American) supported her with 9 points and 10 rebounds. Ullern's coach Marco Sanders allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even 15 points and 8 rebounds by Montenegrin forward Biljana Pavicevic (191-80, agency: Josep and Nicolas) did not help to save the game for Gimle. Guard Josefin Winther (180-86) added 8 points and 12 rebounds. Ullern (5-0) have an impressive five-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with a perfect record of 5 victories in a row. Gimle at the other side keeps the third place with three games lost. They share the position with BC Asker. Ullern will play against BC Asker (#4) in Rykkinn in the next round. Gimle's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Bergen Bergen.
