Regular Season Round 5: Rubon II - BGEU-RCOR 84-66

Bottom-ranked BGEU-RCOR (0-5) is still winless. This time they lost on the road their fifth consecutive match to eighth ranked Rubon II (2-3) 84-66. The game was mostly controlled by Rubon II. BGEU-RCOR was better in third quarter 23-11. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Rubon II forced 27 BGEU-RCOR turnovers. BGEU-RCOR was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. Forward Maksim Lyutych (200-97) nailed 20 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side and forward Denis Vikentyev (201-98) accounted for 11 points and 13 rebounds. Four Rubon II players scored in double figures. Forward Dmitry Borisenok (201-97) came up with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 13 rebounds and guard Vitaliy Radyuk (188-89) added 9 points respectively for BGEU-RCOR in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Newly promoted Rubon II maintains eighth place with 2-3 record. BGEU-RCOR at the other side still closes the standings with five games lost. Rubon II will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. BGEU-RCOR will play on the road against Tsmoki II (#4) in Minsk and hopes to get finally their first victory.
