Regular Season Round 7: Shenyang - Shanxi 85-75

Shanxi Rui Flame (6-1) recorded its first loss in Dandong on Tuesday night. Visitors were defeated by sixth ranked Shenyang Golden Lions (4-3) 85-75. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Shanxi Rui Flame. The game was mostly controlled by Shenyang Golden Lions. Shanxi Rui Flame managed to win second period 25-22. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a great shooting night for Shenyang Golden Lions especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 56.3 percentage. International forward Meng Li (185-95) fired 16 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. International swingman Jiabao Jin (184-93) chipped in 19 points (perfect behind the arc making all six shots !!!). Five Shenyang Golden Lions players scored in double figures. American Maya Moore (183-89, college: Connecticut) produced 40 points (!!!) (made all of her ten free throws !!!) and international power forward XueYa Ma (190-93) added 7 points and 8 rebounds respectively for lost side. Shenyang Golden Lions maintains sixth place with 4-3 record. Defending champion Shanxi Rui Flame still keeps top position with one game lost. They share it with Beijing and Shanghai. Shenyang Golden Lions are looking forward to face Liaoning Hengye (#8) in Anshan in the next round. Shanxi Rui Flame will play at home against Henan (#11) and is hoping to win this game.
