Very important is a road loss of third ranked Xinjiang Flying Tigers (6-2) against eleventh ranked Jiangsu Dragons (4-4) on Wednesday night. Visiting Xinjiang Flying Tige was defeated by Jiangsu Dragons in Nanjing 117-106. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Xinjiang Flying Tige. The game was mostly controlled by Jiangsu Dragons. Xinjiang Flying Tige was better in fourth quarter 42-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Jiangsu Dragons made 30-of-32 charity shots (93.8 percent) during the game. They also forced 24 Xinjiang Flying Tige turnovers. Xinjiang Flying Tige was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Chris Singleton (206-89, college: Florida St.) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 28 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists and the other American import point guard Toney Douglas (188-86, college: Florida St.) who added 37 points (!!!) during the contest. American-Filipino power forward Andray Blatche (211-86) responded with a double-double by scoring 39 points (!!!), 18 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals and center Wei Liu (210-89) scored 28 points and 5 rebounds (was perfect 10-for-10 from the free throw line !!!). Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Xinjiang Flying Tige's coach rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Jiangsu Dragons have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to ninth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Xinjiang Flying Tige at the other side dropped to the fourth position with two games lost. They share it with Guangsha L.. Jiangsu Dragons will play against league's leader Liaoning Hunters in Yingkou in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Xinjiang Flying Tige will play at home against DongGuan Leopards and hopes to get back on the winning track.
