Regular Season Round 8: C.de Latte BRE - Tezenis VE 76-78

The most exciting game of round 8 in the A2 Gold took place in Brescia. This derby game ended with only two-point home defeat of second-ranked C.de Latte BRE (6-2) to top-ranked Tezenis VE (8-0) 78-76 in the game for the first place. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of C.de Latte BRE. C.de Latte BRE was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. Nigerian-American point guard Michael Umeh (188-84, college: UNLV) orchestrated the victory by scoring 21 points. Naturalized Albanian swingman Klaudio Ndoja (201-85) contributed with 16 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. The former international center Alessandro Cittadini (207-79) replied with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 14 rebounds and naturalized Argentinian guard Juan Fernandez (193-90, college: Temple) added 13 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists in the effort for C.de Latte BRE. Four Tezenis VE and five C.de Latte BRE players scored in double figures. Tezenis VE have an impressive eight-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 8-0 record. C.de Latte BRE at the other side keeps the second place with two games lost. Tezenis VE will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. C.de Latte BRE will play on the road against FCM Ferentino and is hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.
