Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both sixth ranked Njardvik and 8th ranked Snaefell had identical 3-3 record. The hosts trailed by 10 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 4-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 98-83. Njardvik made 20-of-25 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international forward Mirko Virijevic (201-81, college: Freed-Hardeman) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 21 points and 15 rebounds. American guard Dustin Salisbery (196-84, college: Temple) contributed with 24 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. The former international forward Sigurdur Thorvaldsson (201-80) answered with 21 points and 8 rebounds and American forward Chris Woods (195-89, college: Pfeiffer) added 21 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Snaefell. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Njardvik (4-3) moved-up to third place, which they share with 3 other teams. Snaefell at the other side keeps the eighth position with four games lost. Njardvik is looking forward to face Haukar (#4) in Hafnarfjordur in the next round. Snaefell will play at home against IR (#9) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
