Regular Season Round 8: Boras II - Brahe Basket 110-61

Everything went according to plan when fourth ranked Boras II (5-2) outplayed at home 10th ranked Brahe Basket (1-6) 110-61 on Thursday. The game without a history. Boras II led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Brahe Basket's 40. Boras II forced 25 Brahe Basket turnovers and outrebounded them 49-29 including a 31-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. Boras II looked well-organized offensively handing out 31 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by Brahe Basket's players. Forward Hajzer Ismaili (202-94) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 21 points, 15 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals. Forward John Brandmark (194-97) contributed with 26 points and 7 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) for the winners. Four Boras II players scored in double figures. point guard Rami Ghanem (183-93) replied with 16 points and 6 rebounds and Andrei Khromchanka added 13 points in the effort for Brahe Basket. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Boras II moved-up to third place in South, which they share with Huddinge. Brahe Basket lost fifth consecutive game. They dropped to the ninth position with six games lost. Boras II will face Talje Knights (#8) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Brahe Basket will play against the league's leader Malbas and hope to win that game.
