Regular Season Round 4: PMINA Esfahan - Mahram 71-82

Date: November 20, 2014
Bottom-ranked PMINA Esfahan is still unable to win any game. But it was rather predictable considering how strong their opponent was. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their third consecutive match to top-ranked Mahram (4-0) 82-71 on Thursday evening. The guests trailed by 6 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 13-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 82-71. Mahram forced 25 PMINA Esfahan turnovers. The winners were led by the former international point guard Sajjad Mashayekhi (180-94) who scored that evening 16 points and 5 rebounds and international swingman Saeid Davarpanah (190-87) supported him with 15 points. Four Mahram players scored in double figures. Even 26 points by the former international swingman Iman Zandi (188-81) did not help to save the game for PMINA Esfahan. The former international forward Karam Ahmadian (198-77) added 15 points for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Mahram have a solid four-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader. Newly promoted PMINA Esfahan still closes the standings with three games lost. Mahram will meet at home Qazvin (#5) in the next round. PMINA Esfahan will play against the league's second-placed Petrochimi in Bandar Imam and hopes to get finally their first victory.
