Very expected game when 10th ranked Heilongjiang Chenneng (1-7) was rolled over on the road by third ranked Beijing Great Wall (7-1) 104-46 on Thursday. The game without a history. Beijing Great Wall led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 78 of its points in the paint compared to Heilongjiang Chenneng's 30. Beijing Great Wall forced 20 Heilongjiang Chenneng turnovers and outrebounded them 47-25 including a 28-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was international forward Ting Shao (183-89) who scored 22 points (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field). American center Brittney Griner (203-90, college: Baylor) chipped in 16 points and 6 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). Four Beijing Great Wall players scored in double figures. Center Liqing Cao (195-92) produced 8 points and international forward Jiahe Zhang (182-94) added 9 points respectively for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Beijing Great Wall have a solid three-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Shanghai and Shanxi. Heilongjiang Chenneng lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the tenth place with seven games lost. Beijing Great Wall will face Henan (#11) in Jiyuan in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Heilongjiang Chenneng will play at home against Shenyang Golden Lions and hope to win that game.
