An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Huelva. First ranked Conquero faced 4th placed Cadi La Seu. Host Conquero (8-1) smashed guests from Seu D'urgell (6-3) 78-56. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Cadi La Seu. The game without a history. Conquero led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Cadi La Seu to just 6 points in first quarter. Conquero dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to Cadi La Seu's 18. Conquero had a 29-18 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was American forward Adaora Elonu (185-90, college: Texas A&M, agency: Josep and Nicolas) who scored 20 points and 6 rebounds (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field). Her fellow American import forward Chelsea Davis (188-90, college: Florida St., agency: Josep and Nicolas) chipped in 15 points and 6 rebounds. Five Conquero players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was swingman Marta Montoliu (182-94) who recorded 12 points and Belgian point guard Hind Ben Abdelkader (172-95, college: California, agency: Regeneracom Sports) added 11 points respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Conquero have an impressive series of eight victories in a row. They maintain first place with 8-1 record, which they share with Uni Girona and Perfumerias. Cadi La Seu at the other side keeps the fourth position with three games lost. They share it with Gernika. Conquero is looking forward to face Al-Qazeres (#13) in Caceres in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Cadi La Seu will play at home against Campus Promete (#14) and is hoping to prove to their supporters that the loss was just an accident.
