An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Minsk. Third ranked Tsmoki II faced 4th ranked Rubon. Host Tsmoki II (5-1) defeated guests from Vitebsk (3-2) 70-66. The hosts trailed by 5 points at the halftime before their 39-30 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Tsmoki II outrebounded Rubon 49-31 including a 38-25 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was forward Yauheni Beliankou (197-95) who had a double-double by scoring 24 points and 12 rebounds. Guard Roman Rubinshteyn (195-96) chipped in a double-double by scoring 16 points, 14 rebounds and 5 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Victor Ovsepyan (204-91) who recorded 15 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and forward Maksim Lyutych (200-97) added 12 points and 7 rebounds respectively. Tsmoki II have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 5-1 record behind leader GOCOR-Sozh. Rubon at the other side dropped to the fifth place with two games lost. Tsmoki II will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Rubon will play at home against Borisfen (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
