Regular Season Round 9: Shandong FB - Shanghai S. 97-88

There was no surprise in Jinan where 16th ranked Shanghai Sharks (2-7) were defeated by eleventh ranked Shandong Bulls (5-4) 97-88. Shanghai Sharks were tied at the half but could not keep up in last two quarters eventually losing the game. Shandong Bulls forced 19 Shanghai Sharks turnovers. American-Ukrainian point guard Eugene Jeter (180-83, college: Portland) nailed 34 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds for the winning side and international forward Yanyuhang Ding (200-93) accounted for 19 points and 4 assists. American forward Michael Beasley (208-89, college: Kansas St.) came up with a double-double by scoring 30 points, 10 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals and Taiwanese power forward Wending Zeng (203-84) added 13 points and 9 rebounds respectively for Shanghai Sharks in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Shandong Bulls moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Shanxi Zh. and Jilin NE T. Shanghai Sharks at the other side keep the sixteenth position with seven games lost. They share it with Bayi R. and Fujian QB. Shandong Bulls will play against Qingdao Eagles (#10) at home in the next round. Shanghai Sharks will play against Jiangsu TX (#20) and hope to get back on the winning track.
