We should mention about the upset which took place in Umea, where 6th ranked LF Basket (5-5) lost to ninth ranked Umea (4-9) in a road game 99-103. The hosts were ahead by 1 point but lost the second period ending it with a 4-point deficit before their 21-17 run, which allowed them to win the game. It was a great shooting night for Umea especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 55.6 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. It was an exceptional evening for American power forward Germain Jordan (198-86, college: Dillard, agency: Court Side) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 27 points, 13 rebounds and 6 assists. His fellow American import point guard Omar Krayem (185-86, college: Cal.Baptist) accounted for 16 points and 11 assists for the winning side. Krayem is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Bahamas forward Jaraun Burrows (203-85, college: IPFW) came up with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists and international point guard Jonathan Person (190-93) added 19 points respectively for LF Basket in the defeat. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. LF Basket's coach Peter Oqvist tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Umea moved-up to eighth place. LF Basket at the other side keeps the sixth position with five games lost. Umea's next round opponent will be higher ranked Uppsala Basket (#3) on the road and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
